Our big day on the ice with the Detroit Red Wings Alumni wasn’t our only involvement with the NHL this past weekend. A team of 8 people from Stahls’ Decorating Fulfillment center was busy printing NHL All-Star jerseys all weekend at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. According to Carl Agosta, who sent me all these photos, “We heat printed close to 3,000 jerseys this weekend, practically selling out the stock on hand.” Our team was set up in the concourse, allowing fans, VIPs, players’ family members and just about anyone willing to shell out up to $225 for a custom jersey to have a shirt heat printed on demand. Orders were placed via touchscreen computer systems powered by Cadworx (Cadworxlive.com) software and the average wait time for a custom shirt was usually around 10 minutes. “I’ve been doing this for many, many years,” reported Carl, and this was the fastest, smoothest execution of our custom jersey heat printing service I’ve ever seen.” Everything flowed like clockwork. Approximately 1600 of the jerseys sold were pre-decorated at our custom fulfillment center Stahls’ DFC in Masontown, Pennsylvania. The remaining jerseys were all decorated and customized on site at the Bridgestone Arena. Keep in mind that ALL the decoration elements on the jerseys were heat applied using Hotronix heat presses. They featured screen printed no-sew Perma-Twill numbers and digitally printed no-sew Perma-TWILL® Tackle Twill patches and no-sew Perma-TWILL® Tackle Twill lettering for the names.
