NSGA Management Conference

Jason Murphy, myself, Brian Sukarukoff and Dave Wheatley at the NSGA Management Conference in San Antonio. This was after the sun went down last night.

We are fortunate enough to be able to attend the NSGA Management Conference and Team Dealer Summit here in San Antonio, Texas. This morning we had the opportunity to listen to an inspirational address by NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton, who shared with us the importance of climbing back up the mountain in spite of adversity, as well as sharing many stories about his experiences with legendary coach John Wooden and his success pyramid. (also learned he is a huge Grateful Dead fan who attended over 800 concerts!) Next heard from ESPN Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Sean Bratches who reminded us of the importance of branding and who you are as a company. Their mission since 1979 is “to serve the sports fan.” In 2012 it was updated to “Serve the sportsfan. Anytime. Anywhere.” This reflects the role that the internet and mobile information plays in our lives today. Lots more to learn and share. Networking with old friends and new. Now time for lunch.
