It’s official. The Great Race 2015 has come to an end. Our good friends Doug and Howard Sharp are the 2015 winners, with the best overall cumulative score. Congratulations to them on a well deserved finish, and to all the Great Race teams– it was an honor to have shared this experience and journey with you. Driving out on the pier was a fitting finale to the end of our 2400 mile journey from Kirkwood, Missouri. It was great to see all the fans welcoming us and cheering as we crossed the finish line. Later in the evening, we celebrated at the awards banquet, where Trevor and Josh accepted their award for finishing first in the Rookie Class and the Stars and Stripes won Best in Show. But they wouldn’t have even finished the race if it hadn’t been for all the help we received in fixing the transmission, especially from team Sharp. That’s what the spirit of the Great Race is really all about. Ride, repair, repeat. We can’t wait to experience it again next year. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way and who followed along on the adventure. We also appreciate the donations to support the fight against autism.
