Today was a beautiful start for the Great Race 2014 in Ogunquit, Maine. All three Spirit of Stahls’ Teams made it through to the evening pitstop in Lowell, Massachusetts after stopping for lunch in Rochester, New Hampshire. A very picturesque route, although we couldn’t pay much attention to the scenery since we are concentrating on keeping on time and not missing any turns. Upon arrival in Lowell, we had to spend some time making a repair to car#90, the Auburn that Mary and I are driving. A gear mechanism fell off the car. Luckily, our “Great Race Family” came to our rescue once again, with everyone pitching in to help and find a solution so that we can rally on tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who came out to cheer us on today, it was fantastic meeting you all and we enjoyed talking with you and sharing our love of historic automobiles with so many.
