These two cars are on their way to Minnesota for the start of the Great Race 2013. Mary, Brett and Dan and I will be heading out on Wednesday. Still much to do before we leave!
The Spirit of Stahls teams sent their Great Race cars packing today, on their way to Minnesota for the start of the 2013 Great Race. Also along for the ride, the Leslie Special and the Hannibal 8. These two cars co-starred in the classic film The Great Race and will be on display along the Great Race route. Mary and I have our fingers crossed that all vehicles and of course their handlers, arrive safe and sound! Safe travels everyone. We’ll see you on Wednesday!
On Friday we also announced the winners of the Ultimate Road Trip ride along contest. Mary and I look forward to meeting the following classic car and Great Race enthusiasts along the route. Congratulations to:

We are truly excited about being able to share this unique and exhilarating journey with you. And for those of you who didn’t win, thank you for participating and hopefully we will be able to offer more opportunities again next year. In the meanwhile, everyone is encouraged to follow along. Kudos to Andrea P. and the gang “behind the scenes” with all these great posts and photos. Mary and I will also be uploading photos and writing updates from the road. We are just making our last minute preparations for the trip. We’ve learned a lot from last year so hopefully we will be better equipped to deal with any last minute emergencies.
