Another update from the road from the Spirit of Stahls teams taking part in the Great Race 2016. If it’s Monday, we must be in Nevada. After leaving Old Sacramento, California on Sunday morning, (we hope everyone had a very happy Father’s Day!) the  scenery was breathtaking along the Lincoln Highway. When we arrived for lunch in Gardnerville, Nevada, we were once again overwhelmed by enthusiastic, classic-car-loving fans. It was hard to leave but we needed to get on the road to Reno. In Reno, all the Great Racers enjoyed the evening’s reception at the National Automobile Museum. There were some really fantastic cars on display, but one that stood out to most of us was the “Thomas Flyer”, the winner of the Great Automobile Race (from New York to Paris) in 1908. The Spirit of Stahls’ team of Trevor and Joshua have once again discovered that the mantra “Ride, Repair and Repeat” holds true, as they coasted into one pitstop with no brakes, due to brake line damage. Luckily they were able to fix the problem and move on to the next stop, even earning their first “ACE” along the way. Backing up a bit to San Rafael, we also wanted to mention that we had the chance to meet with a long time customer, Anthony Brusati, of T & B Sports. Thanks for coming out to say hello Anthony. We appreciate your support. On Monday morning we left Reno bright and early, headed for Austin, Nevada.

The scenery in Nevada reminds us how big this country really is.

We really appreciate the custom, home-baked cookies we received at our lunch stop in Austin, Nevada. Thank you!

At the evening's stop in Reno, we enjoyed the reception at the National Automobile Museum, home to the Thomas Flyer, the winner of the Great Automobile Race (from New York to Paris) in 1908.

Trevor and Josh are proud to have earned their first "ACE" for this leg of the rally, which means a perfect score.

We are heading East but still in the beautiful, scenic West. What natural beauty we are experiencing.
