Once you get the hang of heat printing T-shirts, you’ll realize that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of other items that can fit under a heat press. As you know, we have transfers, custom logos, full color transfers, CAD-CUT and CAD-COLOR materials that can be applied on just about any substrate, including neoprene, leather, nylon and even certain plastics. The most difficult part of heat printing unusually shaped items comes in making sure that the pressure is applied evenly over the graphic. In order to heat print on odd shaped items, you will most likely need to use non-stick pillows, or silicone pads to even out the pressure. Or, you may want to consider purchasing one of our specialty platens to help make the job even easier. If you own a Hotronix heat press, you know that the platens are easily interchangeable. You don’t even need tools to exchange a platen. Just pull out the pivot pin, remove the platen and insert the new one. This StahlsTV video explains how you can use your heat press to customize things beyond apparel.
