Slippery Rock will take on Mercyhurst University on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Big House, wearing their “warrior” uniforms featuring metallic/reflective numbers.
You can’t just wear any old football jersey anymore. Especially if you’re going to be making an appearance in the Big House, also known as the football stadium at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. According to the Michigan Daily, the Slippery Rock football team chose to NOT wear their normal green and white uniforms for an upcoming game against Mercyhurst University in order to respect the rivalry of the Michigan Wolverines versus Michigan State.
