A Journey of Passion and Tradition
The Great Race 2024 kicks off soon, and the Spirit of Stahls’ teams are back on the road, embarking on another thrilling adventure. For those of you who have followed along for the past 12 years, you know this classic car road rally has been a passion project for Mary and me, and many friends and family members. This year, Mary and I will be keeping tabs on our teams and all our Great Race friends from a distance.
The race starts on June 22nd in Owensboro, Kentucky, marking the first time in the event’s history that it has begun in this vibrant city. Owensboro car enthusiasts are out in full force and the drivers and navigators are prepping to rally. The race spans 2,300 miles, traveling through thirteen different states over nine days, and concludes in Gardiner, Maine on June 30th (Great Race) (Great Race) (WBKR).
While we won’t be participating this year, our commitment to the event remains unwavering. We will be cheering on the Spirit of Stahls’ teams and all participants, especially our family members who continue to carry the torch of this beloved tradition.
Camaraderie
The race is not just about speed; it’s about precision, endurance, and the spirit of camaraderie that binds all participants together. As always, the Great Race is a celebration of automotive history and the passion of those who keep it alive.
Mary and I are immensely proud of our teams and will be following their progress closely, offering support and encouragement from behind the scenes. We wish all the Great Race participants the best of luck and look forward to celebrating their achievements at the finish line.
