Who Will Win Paul Bunyon Trophy?

The winner takes home this impressive statute.

“Go Blue” and “Sparty-On” were phrases tossed around the Stahls’ ID Direct headquarters in St. Clair Shores, Michigan today. Tomorrow, Oct. 9, No. 21 Michigan State (5-0) will play No. 19 Michigan (5-0) at Michigan Stadium (The Big House)  in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Saturday, October 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 CT. ABC will be broadcasting the game. For this “backyard brawl” as it is also known if you live in Michigan, you have to pick a side. Even if you didn’t attend either of the schools,  University of Michigan (Go Blue!) or Michigan State University (Go Green!), people have their favorites. Most people have a definite opinion of who should or will win, and it’s a lot of fun to drive around and see the different flags flying from people’s porches. I especially like the ones that say “A House Divided” with a flag that supports both schools. What’s at stake this year? Well for one thing, there’s the honor of housing the oversized Paul Bunyon trophy, which has resided in East Lansing (Michigan State) for the past two years. I’m sure the Wolverines are planning on bringing it back to Ann Arbor this year, but it won’t be without a fight. Have fun watching and may your favorite team win! Can’t get more politically correct than that…(Go Blue!)
