It takes a lot of people, from a lot of different departments to bring a new product or service to our customers. As crazy as it sounds, we don’t just sit around making up new products because we think it would be fun to have a new CAD-CUT material or a new heat press feature. The process usually begins when we recognize an unmet need from our customers. Or it may involve improving an existing product. This was the case recently when we discovered the need to optimize our CAD-CUT® Premium Plus™ .
Since its introduction, CAD-CUT Premium Plus has been recognized as an ideal heat printing vinyl for heat sensitive fabrics and performance wear. It was widely accepted but there was a demand for more colors and a choice when it comes to weeding strengths. Thanks to the intense testing and development coordinated by Rulla and her team, Premium Plus now features a high tack or low tack carrier for easier weeding no matter what design you’re weeding.
There are literally dozens of people involved, usually in more than one location, when it comes to successfully launching a new product or service. As they say, it’s a process. We are very proud of our reputation as an innovative company in the field of heat printing, and we are glad to have such a strong team behind our efforts. To learn more about how it all works behind the scenes, our Research and Development Manager, Rulla Amer, was recently featured in a profile piece written by SEEN Magazine.
