The GTO is ready to go! Mary and I look forward to another Great Race in our 1967 GTO.
The Spirit of Stahls’ teams taking part in the Great Race 2016 have all made it to the West Coast. Mary and I are happy to say we have quite an entourage this year, with almost all of our children and grandchildren joining us for parts of the journey. It is very good to say hello to many of our fellow Great Racers that we haven’t seen since last year, as well as meet new participants. On Wednesday June 15th, Great Race participants had the opportunity to drive to the Keller Estate Winery, which highlighted not only gorgeous rolling hills of strategically planted grape vines and olive trees but also housed an incredible collection rare exquisite cars.
The gang’s almost all here! Not a complete family photo–that’s a feat we’ve yet to accomplish! And we need a photo with Mary, who is always taking all the pictures.
“I wanna drive!”
“No, I wanna drive!”
Dan and Dave McAllister take one more look at the Packard.
Happy to have so many grandkids participating in pre-race activities. It’s a family affair.
Yes there are moms there keeping an eye on those kids.
The scenery is already more than breathtaking and the race hasn’t even started yet.
Brett and his family stop for pictures at the Golden Gate bridge.
The Packard is ready to hit the road.
