Dan Stahl and son AC select the raffle winners at the Christmas party. Tickets were earned by bringing in canned goods or could be purchased. All proceeds from the raffle were donated to Gleaners Community Foodbank.
This past weekend we were able to combine Christmas fun for our team members and their families with community service. By encouraging people to bring canned goods (guests received 1 raffle ticket per can and we collected several pallets) and/or purchase raffle tickets for gift baskets, we raised over $1200 for the Gleaners Community Food Bank of SE Michigan at this year’s holiday party. Over 660 people attended! It was a day full of fun, food, and Christmas cheer, especially for the children. Our son Dan and the “Christmas Committee” (Donna F., Stacy W., Peggy D., Robbin T., Alice T., Paul S., Sarah M., Christian H., Wendy T., Mark Van O., Bill G., and Paul M.) worked very hard to make sure decorations were in place, food was plentiful and activities were available. Thank you for making this event a huge success. Kids of all ages could decorate cookies, make tree ornaments, color Christmas pictures or just enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or cappuccino. There were also visits with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, a photo booth and ample opportunity to get in the Christmas spirit thanks to holiday music, movies and Christmas carollers. Thank you to all the members of the Christmas Committee who made sure everything went off without a hitch. We hope you all get everything on your Christmas list this year.
