European Trends Tracking

Brian Sukarukoff (GroupeSTAHL CEO) and I just returned home from a week long trip to Europe to visit with GroupeSTAHL affiliates. Three countries in one week, and double the number of flights has left me a bit under the weather, but nothing some sleep and some good homemade chicken soup won’t cure. It’s good to be back home but it was also great to have had the chance to meet face to face with GroupeSTAHL Europe’s CEO Thomas Karr and many other team members we normally only see via Skype or conference call. In addition to getting updated on the latest heat transfer technologies that we will soon be bringing to the US, we also had the chance to see some of the latest merchandising trends for decorated garments in Spain, Germany and Italy. I can confirm that many of the heat printing and garment decoration trends reported here in this blog are still going strong in Europe. From metallics and distressed to reflective patches and even glitter and bling, many of the most popular trends are tracking well on both sides of the Atlantic. Here are some photos from my trip…yes, many people do find it strange that I take photos of garments instead of the more popular tourist attractions.

Metallics, glitter and distressed looks, along with numbers and patches featuring lots of texture were top sellers in Spain and Germany.

  1. I love, love, love the font used in the Real Madrid design. Any idea what font that is?
