It used to be an extreme luxury for players to have numbers or custom logos added to their footwear. Today, it’s more commonplace than ever, due to the fact that it’s easier than ever.  This is a very lucrative add-on sale for anyone who owns a heat press and is interested in providing unbeatable custom services to their customers. We first aired this video back in 2010, but I think it’s time for a repeat. Many of you are not aware that we now offer a shoe platen that can be easily installed on your Hotronix heat press. If you have any questions about heat printing on shoes, let me know.

Can you do this to Hockey skates?

  2. Hi April – yes you can apply to hockey skates as well. The important thing is to use a heat transfer material such as Fashion Film in combination with a flexible application pad. If the area being applied to is a hard curve (such as a heel) you may want to avoid using the press and instead use a tacking iron. The press works great however on side placements and collapsible heels.
