Where do you do your thinking?
Kids play with toy tractors for fun–and you know how the saying goes: You can tell the men from the boys by the size of their toys. (Isn’t that a t-shirt?) I do some of my best thinking when I’m working outdoors. In my world, there’s nothing like the smell of diesel and fresh dirt to get your brainwaves going. In this picture, it looks like I’m moving dirt as part of an irrigation system project on my mother’s property, but actually I’m thinking of ways to find new customers and bury the competition. You never know where you’ll come up with your next great idea–it might not be when you’re sitting behind your desk. This was how I spent the Labor Day weekend and if I’m lucky, the weather might hold so I can get out there again and finish the job. Or I could take the tractor into the office and use it to clean my desk.
