It was truly a magical evening at the Autos for Autism fundraising event that took place on July 25th at the Stahls’ Auto Foundation in Chesterfield, MI. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Ted Lindsey Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting research and educational programs focusing on the cause and management of Autism Spectrum Disorders. There were actually two events at the Foundation that evening, the fundraiser inside the museum and the Cruise-In. Approximately 200 cars showed up for the Cruise-In. If you wanted to enter the museum, a donation ticket was required at the door. However all the events outside were free for all and included a live band, bounce house and a car show. Thank you to Brad Phillips from Hagerty for all your fantastic announcing as the cars cruised in. Tom Daldin, the host of Under the Radar Michigan, an Emmy award winning PBS television series that features the cool people, places and things that make Michigan a great place was there signing book autographs as well. Many of the cruisers were happily surprised to see classic car expert Wayne Carini there examining all the cars. Wayne was a special guest of the Foundation and was assisting in the fundraising with photographs and autographs. And Dylan Larkin of the Detroit Red Wings also donated his time in a meet and greet and photo sessions with all ticket holders as well. It was a full house. We are very happy with the amount of money raised for the Ted Lindsey Foundation. Kudos to Terri Coppens and her team at the Stahls’ Auto Foundation for pulling off such a successful event.
