Did you see that Notre Dame recently revealed their new football uniforms, designed by UnderArmour? It was the alternate jersey that caught my attention, thanks to the incorporation of two design trends we’ve been seeing. Think about incorporating these two design ideas for your team and fan wear this fall.
1. Use a pattern to spice up a standard logo. Turn your traditional logos into works of art. Artwork sells shirts! My daughter Kaitlyn sent me an example of a shirt that’s sold at All That JAS, in Elon, North Carolina. I was really impressed with the detailed artwork. The Notre Dame alternate jersey, with its detailed mosaic tile patterned design is also an excellent example of taking an already good looking football jersey and further enhancing it with art.
2. Don’t forget the shirt tail or hem. Have you noticed that almost nobody tucks their shirts in anymore? This is a trend we’ve been seeing for quite some time now, printing in unusual areas on the garment. Notre Dame added one of their mottos to the hem of the football jersey. You can do this as well. It’s a great way to add extra profit to any garment.
