As part of a world-wide social media challenge that hopes to rid the world of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, we were nominated by The Rhinestone World in Bradenton, Florida to take the #ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. In case you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know what the ice bucket challenge is, you can read all about how it works by clicking here: ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. In a nutshell it’s a creative social media challenge designed to raise awareness and funding to support the mission of the ALS Association, which is: Leading the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
Special thanks to the over 100 members of Team Stahls’ located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan who stepped up to get drenched last Friday. For everyone who dared to get wet, there was also a monetary donation made to ALSA. Our son Daniel, who helped organize the event, nominated fellow team members at Transfer Express, Great Dane Graphics, Brian Elliott and Rick Genrich at Stahls’ MEC and Sean at The Wildside. Watch till the end to see the creative way in which he nominates them. Well done everyone. We are looking forward to a world without ALS.
