A Heat Printing Success Story

Nancy Moran-Julian shows off one of her most recently finished jobs.

How did Nancy Moran-Julian of Huckleberry Ink grow her custom apparel business from $4,000 to $250,000 in sales in under six years? She’s not quite sure herself. “I really wish I could explain,” Nancy said during a phone interview, “I don’t advertise. It’s mostly word of mouth and repeat customers.” We have a strong suspicion that it’s partly because of her abilities to create outstanding custom apparel. She is a frequent poster on both Stahls’ Transfer Express Facebook page as well as in our Heat Press for Profit Group, and her creative talents and heat printing skills really set her apart.  Another reason? Her fast-turnaround times. She recently completed a 141-piece order that she received on a Sunday, before the customer’s need-by date of Wednesday. She shared her success on social media:

“On the road, just received an order for 141 shirts/hoodies. Hopped on Transfer Express on my phone. Designed the transfers in Easyview on MY PHONE, placed the one color order, checked out with next day shipping. We will receive the transfers Tuesday by noon, print the shirts and deliver by their requested date of Wednesday. Partnering with Stahls Transfer Express makes me feel like a ROCK STAR. Thank you for providing the tools to get the job done.”

Heat printing makes up 75% of Nancy’s business, and she has four heat presses and five vinyl cutters. She also offers embroidery. What’s her favorite heat transfer vinyl? It’s GlitterFlake, in all the colors.

Nancy and her husband also take their custom printing show on the road, and will be attending the Lewis County Junior Rodeo on July 21st. This design looks like a winner.

Everyone at Stahls’ and Stahls’ Transfer Express wishes you the best of luck and we are proud to be your business partners. Thank you for sharing your story.
