If You Print Team Jerseys, Understand Low Bleed Vs. Dye Migration

A recent Stahls ID Blog posting featured a link to a very important educational video that anyone who heat prints athletic jerseys  should watch. Do you know the difference between athletic fabrics that may cause “low bleed” during the heat printing process and those that could result in “dye migration?” You should understand why sublimated shirts react differently to heat pressing than dyed polyester shirts, and what you can do to make sure your customers get the best looking names and numbers possible.  Josh Ellsworth does an excellent job in this Tip Jar video, explaining how to determine whether your fabric has been dyed or sublimated, as well as recommending the appropriate and best heat transfer films to use on each type of fabric. It’s worth 7 minutes of your time. Please subscribe to the Stahls’ ID Blog if you haven’t done so already. You can never stop learning!
